So we had our first group discussion and we spoke about taking the word 'match' in its original context, the idea of how everyone now matches because of what they are wearing and the mass production of clothes. We thought of looking into mannequins and how they all 'match' and as in our matchbox there is one match which is broken, we could have a real model mixed with all the mannequins but dressed to stand out and be different. Helmut Newton came into our heads very quickly as his photos almost show women as lifeless mannequins.
